Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - The Utah Jazz announced Friday that they have made a qualifying offer to forward Paul Millsap.
Per team policy, financial terms of the proposed deal were not released. The offer allows the Jazz to retain its right of first refusal when Millsap is to become a restricted free agent on July 1.
Millsap appeared in 76 games -- 38 starts -- for the Jazz last season, averaging 13.5 points and 8.6 rebounds in 30.1 minutes. Selected in the second round of the 2006 NBA Draft by Utah, Millsap owns career averages of 9.4 points and 6.4 rebounds in 246 games over three seasons.
